Resources for the Dragon Age RPG

A Core Rulebook is all well and good, but when you need a little more to spice up your game you don’t have to look far from the fans!

Below is one official resource and a list of fan-made content for the Dragon Age RPG! We’ve spoken about them in our podcast and now you can use them to make your time in Thedas full of wonder!

  • Green Ronin’s Online Dragon Age Store
    • You can buy the Core Rulebook here, get a free PDF of the Quickstart Guide, and a free adventure “Duty Unto Death”. There are also PDFs of supplementary documents like the Faces of Thedas series, and you can buy a PDF or scratch ‘n dent copy of Blood in Ferelden, a book with three fantastic adventures for lower level characters!
    • Also, for GMs, there is a new run of the Dragon Age Game Master’s Kit with a GM screen, handouts for players, a dry-erase combat tracker, and an adventure for level 7 characters.
    • Finally, a new run of the Dragon Age dice sets is available from Q-Workshop! Four red dice and two white ones emblazoned with Dragon Age iconography will help you adventure in style!
  • Fan-Made Character Sheets
    • This is a page with a collection of links to downloads for a dozen or so fan-made character sheets, some of which are quite beautiful! One is an Excel spreadsheet that helps you fill in a character sheet!
  • Fan-Made Adventures
    • This leads to another collection of links to PDFs of fan-written adventures! A handful of these links have stopped working, sadly, but most have adventures ready to be had!
  • Esoterica From Thedas
    • This is a collection of four enormous PDFs in a series that add detail, resources, foes, and friends to the Dragon Age RPG. These were written pre-Core Rulebook, so some double-checking with the current rules may be wise, but there are no larger contributions to the Dragon Age RPG fan community than this! Check it out to take your game farther!
  • Dragon Age New Stunts by Saisei
    • This is an old list of new stunts developed on the Dragon Age RPG forums by Saisei and other contributes. Extend the list of stunts you have already with a healthy collection of class-specific, weapons specific, and team-specific stunts to keep the game exciting!
  • Spell Modification
    • Created by shonuff, this subsystem lets you upgrade and customize your spells for maximum effect and power! You can keep your simple Flame Blasts and Arcane Bolts on par with your Tempests and Infernos!
  • Alchemist, Artificer, and Rift Mage Specializations
    • Created by KurosuDan, these three specs help fill the specialization gaps in the game until Faces of Thedas comes out! Of course, if you like these versions better than the official ones, feel free to borrow them!
  • Dark Temptation Blood Magic Rules
    • Now all Mages must resist the temptation that lies in the power of blood. These expanded fan-rules for blood magic give the players a chance to gain more power, at the cost of their life-energy.
  • Clarity and Vitality talents
    • Originally skills in Dragon Age Origins: Awakening, now you can use them to keep yourself going in the RPG!
  • New Warrior talents
    • These talents were inspired by talent trees from Dragon Age 2
  • Dragon Age Campaign Codex
    • Created by exdemon 13, you can use this Access database to track your campaign sessions, campaign details, characters, NPCs, encounters, talents, locations, items, and much much more!
  • Spell Tree Charts
    • This convenient collection of pdfs makes spell selection a breeze, showing just what spells you qualify for and when you can take them!
  • The_Veil_Codex_v4.0.1
    • This deluxe PDF from Wired_Wolf contains reprinted spells organized by school, small spell tree charts, specializations grouped by school, and a specialization for Battle Mages!
  • Free-Form Dragon Age
    • Engineered by DracoDruid, this overhaul of the character creation and growth systems gives you unparalleled control over your character’s development, doing away with classes and letting you build your character from the ground up!
  • Lair of the Seeress

    • Written by Joe Nolan, this is this is an adaptation of the Tomb of the Seeress for the Dragon Age setting! 3 acts of dark, Dragon Age fun is just waiting for you!
  • Alurvelve’s Character Stats
    • This thread is where Green Ronin Forum-member Alurvelve places his home-made stats for iconic characters from the Dragon Age series. Companions from the video games get stats, as do some supporting cast members!
  • Icarus’ Dragon Age Stuff!
    • This links to Green Ronin Fourm-member Icarus’ personal thread for creating and sharing Dragon Age statblocks, house rules, new talents, and more!
  • Kismet Rose’s Dragon Age blog
    • Follow the exploits of Kismet Rose’s own home campaign and enjoy a collection of thoughtful articles and custom content!

    • The Core Rulebook gives us the building blocks, but this document gives you traps you can lift straight off the page and drop into a game!
